San Jose Cochran Tree Frog
San Jose Cochran Tree Frog is part of the Quarantine Zoo project series. In March 2020 when the world thought that the COVID 19 pandemic would be short-lived, I started an online art project called the Quarantine Zoo. I focused on highlighting endangered or extinct species. For more about the project see this blogpost.
I used a raw-edge collage technique with machine and hand embroidery. It was quilted using free-motion machine quilting.
I create all my work in my studio overlooking the Puget Sound on Whidbey Island. All designs are original and are copyrighted by me. My studio is smoke-free and pet-free.
