Get Me Outta Here is part of my Pandemic Birds series. It was inspired by my daughter and the many other parents who, during the COVID lockdown, juggled working at home while their kids attended online classes. There is a Morse Code message embedded in the stitching. I wrote a blog post about this series which you can read here.

I used a raw-edge collage technique with hand embroidery. The entire piece was quilted by hand using a Kantha quilting style.

I create all my work in my studio overlooking the Puget Sound on Whidbey Island. All designs are original and are copyrighted by me. My studio is smoke-free and pet-free.
