Seed Heads

$168.00

Seed Heads is part of my Garden Flowers series. After photographing many different types of Whidbey Island seed heads in Fall of 2020, I created this image.

The entire piece is made by hand with no machine stitching. All the raw-edged shapes are appliqué with invisible thread. Embroidery was used to add details and the piece was then quilted with traditional and Kantha-style stitching.

I create all my work in my studio overlooking the Puget Sound on Whidbey Island. All designs are original and are copyrighted by me. My studio is smoke-free and pet-free.

Materials used: linens with cotton thread embroidery and quilting
Hanging device: 2 antique O rings attached to the either corner of the upper back lining
Year created: 2020

Dimensions
10x14.75”

Care: Avoid hanging in direct sunlight. To remove dust, brush lightly with a lint roller.
